Comparisons fail when the two products were not asked to do the same job. Write the job, pick two or three criteria, and accept that one product loses.

Same tests

If you test ANC on a train for Sony, you do not test Bose in a quiet office and call it a win. Same playlist, same call app, same week if you can.

Criteria you can explain

Weight, return window, repair story, and the one spec that changes the week. Scorecards with 18 categories are how you hide the only criterion you actually used.

Name a loser

A comparison without a loser is a roundup. Update the date. If a model is discontinued, say so — do not leave a 2022 winner as if it were on shelves.
