The Paperwhite Signature Edition is a Paperwhite with extras: auto light, a bigger storage number, and wireless charging you may never use. It is a comfort buy, not a new category.
What you feel
The screen is the same family as the non-Signature Paperwhite. Auto brightness helps in mixed indoor light. Wireless charging is slow and needs a pad you will actually leave on the nightstand.
Storage
More storage matters if you keep audiobooks on the device. Most novel readers will not fill 32 GB of EPUBs.
Who should skip Signature
Buy the regular Paperwhite on sale. Skip Signature if you do not care about wireless charging. Skip Kindle entirely if you refuse Amazon’s account.
